Theater District Korean American steakhouse Gui is now offering a really low-priced weekday lunch special with a kick. The $23 prix fixe comes with unlimited fries, steak with au poivre, and a salad. There’s also a three-course lunch version for $37, with options like dry-aged prime beef burger and spicy tuna tartare. It starts on Monday, May 12, and it’s available on weekdays from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Hamburgers and poutine belong together
Queens bistro-turned-Brooklyn distillery residency M. Wells and Manhattan burger stand Hamburger America are joining up for a collaboration later this month. The daytime Montreal Specials menu will include hamburger chef George Motz’s take on the hot hamburger (an open-face burger drenched in gravy served with fries); M. Wells’ beef tongue poutine, and host distillery NY Distilling Company’s maple sour rye cocktail. It takes place on Sunday, May 18 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Bushwick distillery (where M. Wells is making its temporary home). Tickets are $45 and come with a burger, the poutine, and a drink (additional food and drinks can be bought too). Timed-entry reservations can be made online.
